Total Wireless's $20 BYOD plan stands out for unlimited priority data on Verizon, unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps, and international roaming that includes 10 GB plus calling to many countries. The deal also carries a 5 year price lock on the base rate, with taxes and fees included, and some accounts can stack rewards or home internet discounts. The main catches are that new customers usually need to port in from another carrier, the first month can bill at $30, and the promo price depends on autopay and eligibility. Customer service and porting problems are the biggest recurring concern, so it fits best if you want low monthly cost and can tolerate some setup friction.

I signed up last week. I looked up my autopay and it's showing $25 instead of $20. What going on here?

I signed up for $25 per month. Anyone know if they will let you price match?
They told me I have to port in from a carrier to get the $20 deal. I used Google voice and it only showed $25 after autopay .

I was told through chat that I would need to port from a carrier to get $20 deal and not google voice? Is that Right? I'm not getting the $20 deal but "$25. I have 4 lines and would like to save $20 a month. Lol

The deal is alright -- the provider is not. Last time I ordered TW service they took a scan of my ID and face, and then 3 months later sent a letter expressing regret for the hack in which a bunch of data was stolen.
I'd assume that as a result of the hack they're bit more secure now, but I'd hesitate to give them my data every again.

Yeah im only getting $5 off instead of $10. So, I'll be porting my number out and back to Tello for their $15 deal.

Customer service representatives seem well trained to lie to customers, often acting as though they are unaware of offers that their own website clearly advertises.

There's an obvious discrepancy here.. It shows $20/mo for new customers, but the plan is actually $30 and their autopay discount is only $5/mo so no idea how they go from 25 -> 20 and how long that extra discount will last, if at all

Thanks! I brought over one number from Google Fi, saving ~$18/month. I picked up a TW SIM locally, and porting out went smoothly. I agreed to Auto pay during sign-up ; my account dashboard is showing $20/month. The total is listed as $30/month , with BOTH a $5 autopay discount, and a $5/month promotional credit.

we are still going strong after two years of byebyetmobile deal for a family of 3. Can't beat $45 a month plus $10 off each month with a credit card.
Can you explain the 10 off with credit card?

try undoing auto pay and redoing auto pay. that fixes it to $20
