Total Wireless's $20 BYOD plan stands out for unlimited priority data on Verizon, unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps, and international roaming that includes 10 GB plus calling to many countries. The deal also carries a 5 year price lock on the base rate, with taxes and fees included, and some accounts can stack rewards or home internet discounts. The main catches are that new customers usually need to port in from another carrier, the first month can bill at $30, and the promo price depends on autopay and eligibility. Customer service and porting problems are the biggest recurring concern, so it fits best if you want low monthly cost and can tolerate some setup friction.

Does that mean if inswitch to a different phone in future i loose this promo?

Like is it tied to a device IMEI
I switched phones using a physical SIM. Connection on the new phone was immediate with no change in billing.

this deal's been active for 2 months already, any insight on how much longer it will be active for? I missed the Visible 1 year promo, looks like it ended by Sept, hate to miss this deal, but I just signed up to one month of regular visible.

I've tried to port out of Visible to Total Wireless and it's been a disaster. I ended up cancelling it because their porting people say the account is wrong. I gave them the exact account number and PIN from Visible and they keep saying its invalid. Did you drop the leading zeros?

I was never able to get the port to work and TW said they would refund my $30 but didn't. I contacted them multiple times and then they said "just file a dispute with your bank for it." Like huh? That just costs them more money then actually processing a refund. This is the 2nd bad experience I've had with TW so I won't be trying them again ever.
That's insane. Stories like this make my hesitant to switch.

3 of my chase cards had a 25% add on cash back ($7.50) for Total Wireless.
Amex has $15 off $15. urlhasbeenblocked has $12.50 cash back.

Saw posts on reddit that said 2/14/27, which is crazy if true.

I have 2 lines on one T-Mobile account. Any issues with creating two separate accounts for my SO and I to do this deal? Want to port over both numbers to the new accounts.

Did anyone successfully rebrand any recent port-in promo phones from StraightTalk, Total, Tracfone on this BYO Max line? Whether that phone was activated and expired on their own promo port-in line; or fresh from shipping box and unactivated?

I remember someone in prior Metro deals saying this is feasible; but a quick Google "reddit" search saying this is NOT acceptable.
