This is a high speed fat tire electric bike that feels closer to a motorcycle than a normal ebike, with 9000 watts and claims of 55 mph. The big draw is strong acceleration and hill climbing, plus hydraulic Logan 180 mm four piston brakes, 6061 aluminum construction, LED lights, and a large 52V 30Ah battery. Real world range appears closer to about 22 to 25 miles with hard riding, and the charger fully tops up in just over four hours. Main concerns are safety at speed, possible street legality and UL certification issues, and whether the battery can sustain top speed for long.

First time I rode an e-bike was 6 or 7 years ago. 16 to 22mph felt crazy fast. Of course the eb7 pro feels fast at 40+, but it is super stable and the brakes are rock solid. Like I said - it will fully lock up both front and rear tires.
How long does the Battery last?

so.... 12hp & 55mph and I don't see a brake disk big enough to matter.

There is a reason motorcycles are more expensive than this hybridized bit of insanity: they have to pass some basic safety standards.

Enjoy your death traps. Stay off the roads and side walks so you don't take any innocent people with you.
This is just an absurdly dangerous contraption (and I've gone over 60mph on a skinny tired, rim brake road bike). Throw the biggest motor possible on a sub Wal-Mart franken-cruiser, add the lowest grade...everything, and enjoy trying to stay alive. Minor design/build flaws are not great, but seldom catastrophic at self-powered speeds. At high speed......good luck.

Brakes - Logan Hydraulic 4 piston 180mm rotors will lock up the wheels. Your issue is not clamping power any more, the only way to reduce braking distance is with anti-lock brakes or a wider tire. Because these are hydraulic, your hand strength is not an issue. My 4'10" wife can lock hers up.

Chassis - Made of 6061 aluminum (not Huffy crap-steel). Lower weight and higher tensile strength - around 45,000psi. Look it up, I did. The welds are incredible on all of my e-bikes and Ive never heard of or had a failure after 4,000 miles on multiple bikes and trails.

LED lights - If you are brave/dumb enough to ride at night you can see and be seen.

Shimano Derailleurs - Bullet proof. I've never had an issue with one even after 2,300 miles on the same gear set. New chain at 1,700 miles, but cassette was great.

Motors /Batteries - Again after 1,000's of miles I've never had an issue failure nor have any of my friends. I am the only one that lost a motor. Internal gear stripped after 2,300 miles on the rear motor only. Front is still going strong.

Riding a bike is full of dangers, as is getting out of bed. Riding an e-bike has the very same dangers that riding a bike does. The difference is the rider. Play stupid games…….well? Ride like a responsible adult and you may just enjoy yourself for thousands of miles on trails you otherwise wouldn't be able to ride.

Hope that helps those honestly considering an e-bike. Those cowering in fear that have never owned or ridden one will still find a way to fear monger.

This doesn't have the weight of a motorcycle, it has a fraction of the inertia.

9000 watts is not an ebike. That's full blown motorcycle territory.
It does say moped in listing

Just FYI, this bike is not UL certified even though they claim it is https://productiq.ulprospector.co...erm=EbyccoIt's also not street legal and lots of municipalities are cracking down on illegal ebikes.

It has a serial or factory number, which the DMV will accept

The maximum motorized speed for moped or scooter in every state I have ever checked in <=35mph. This is full motorcycle.

Standard registration requires motorcycle manufacturers to be part of the VIN system. Otherwise you have to go through the "custom built vehicle" registration process, which varies wildly by state.

Fun fact, its energy that kills people. And the mass effect on energy scales linearly while velocity scales exponentially . E=0.5 x mass x v^2

Do you know what 55mph is? Its the velocity of a free-falling object dropped from 100ft up.

20mph, the speed of universally legal class 1 ebikes, winds up with the energy from falling 13ft.

There is a 7.56x difference in energies. For a 200lb motorcycle+rider, that 55mph energy is like 1,500lbs (3/4 ton) dropped from 13ft. Whatever is under that is going to take a lot of damage. Not to mention the person on the motorcycle

The lightest dirt bike might weigh 200lbs. The average cruising motorcycle 500-700. Add about 150 for the rider and try your math again. The dish brakes on the bike will work fine for stopping the bike, the tires you may want to upgrade cause it's the skidding at that point that makes a big difference.
Remember, we're talking about stopping power, or distance, not slamming into a wall.

Braking is only part of it. Non-trivial risk of people who think it's "just an ebike" lay it over or just hit something because they arent motorcycle-rated drivers.

Every motorcyclist I know has torn up a set of protectice gear laying down a bike. My cousin shattered his helmet when he did, fortunately it gave his lofe for his face.
