Just remember to get to torque with a non ball end. these are great for getting the bolts mostly threaded in, especially during builds where you are not going straight to torque. These can strip if you are not careful.

looks like a good bicycle tool for on the road.does anyone know if the bits stay in place ?hate to have the struggle of trying to keep a bit in it as your tightening thee bolts

I would not carry this for on the road repairs because there are a lot of places on a bike where it might not fit and if the bolt is tight, you shouldn't use a ball end on it because it could easily strip. For roadside emergencies, a small set of regular L wrenches, sizes catered to the specific bike, is probably best.

Edit: I didn't explain that well. It's not the sizes, but the shape of the wrench that can prohibit it from getting to all the bolts where you might need it.

As a former bike mechanic, I can tell you that these sizes cover about 95% of anything on a bike.

It's way smaller and easily fits in a jersey pocket or saddle bag. It'll also manage to fix just about any minor repair. If this can't do it, your day is probably done anyways (e.g.broken derailleur hangar, etc).

I'm pointing out the problem that a Y shaped wrench can sometimes not be able to get the job done where traditional L-shaped allen wrenches can. Things like loose bottle cage bolts, inward pointing rack bolts, rim brake bolts that are obstructed by a rack, disc caliper bolts on the top of the chainstay, etc.

I personally carry a few L-shaped allen keys that can tackle more than a Y-shaped wrench can and take up much less space in my saddle bag.
