Pixel 10a is an okay phone. If you really care about photo quality, don't get the A version of Pixel. Voice to text is also a little wonky. The AI tries to figure out what I want to say instead of just typing what I say. I paid $399 after an Amazon $100 card when it first came out in February.
One selling point was software updates don't expire, or at least they are years longer than others. I don't foresee keeping this phone more than two years anyway. Will probably go back to Samsung.
Weary about buggy software updates with these phones. Seems Google doesn't do good software QA. I briefly had a pixel 8 pro and those phones had an issue with the radio chipset, but I think they eventually resolved this.

10a has an outstanding camera for stills and video and why I bought one. DXO rates it at 149. For comparison: Samsung S24 FE at 136, iPhone 16 at 149. Has the sim tray too while the Pixel 10 is eSim only.
Overpriced. Especially with the 11 launch in 2 days.
More like, if you want to see overpriced, wait for the 11 launch. This phone remains the king of the midrangers in the US. What better phone can I get for this price new in the US? Maybe import a Poco X8 or X8 Pro for around this price, but nothing widely available in the US.
