This rechargeable 800 lumen LED work light stands out for its low clearance price and handy design, with a detachable magnetic light that works well for truck, camping, and general task lighting. The strongest appeal is value, since the same item is often seen around $15.90 or higher, and some stores have hidden stock or lower in store pricing. Charging is the main wrinkle, because some units only work with USB A to USB C cables while others do accept USB C to USB C. That makes the charging setup worth checking before relying on it.
Truck drivers and campers needing a magnetic light that detaches, because it works well for working in a truck and camping.
Yes, some stores have it at $7.95, but many locations still show about $15.90 or higher online and on shelf. In-store inventory can be hidden in overhead boxes or not yet brought down, so checking the app and asking an associate can help.
Some units do not charge from USB-C to USB-C and only work with USB-A to USB-C cables. Other units have been tested charging fine over USB-C to USB-C, so the charging port behavior may vary by version.
A lower-amperage charger such as 2A may help if a higher-output block is not working. The charging issue appears tied to the device's USB power negotiation, so trying a basic USB-A charger can be more reliable.
Yes, the light detaches from the tripod and is magnetic. That makes it easier to position the light where you need it, especially for truck work or other hands-on tasks.
Have you tried it with a lower than 3A chargering blocks like 2A, i susppect it has somthing to do with it.
A lot of the cheaper devices do not have C-to-C power negotiation handshake chips, so it doesn't end up charging. The USB A cables just supply their rated power to the device without any kind of negotiation involved
Same worked fine for me too but maybe that's not the same for all devices, either way most people have A to C chargers. For the price I really like the light, pretty nice how the light detaches and is magnetic.
I can make it work somehow and dig something up if I had to but every charging device that is set up in the house is currently set up c to c.

Especially not this. I want to take this camping and everything camping has to be C.

I stopped by at 3 HDs on my way to places bc I needed other things and it'd be useful. All of them said they had 2-7; I found 0.
What I learned from snagging Ridgid's impact deal last week is your #1 competition are employees. Popularity, value, demographics, other shoppers, and thieves make a big difference, too, but employees can stash it in their lockers or move it somewhere and buy it later when they're off of the clock.
Not sure how useful this thing is to actually do any work with it. I find its always easier to run my headlamp if I need extra light exactly where I'm looking.

Same here. Passed by two. Both stores said someone came and bought them all. Thank you to the person who bought them all.
Thx OP. The HD app instructions were spot on. Snagged 4 for 11.93 each. App showed 8 in stock, but none were on shelf. Noticed an 'unopened but inventoried' box up high and asked associate to get it down. Spent abt 20 mins looking for it, but persistence paid off. Left 4 on shelf for others to grab.
It was showing online 19 for pick up instore , went to store got the last one for $14, theres a new model 1000 lumens for 25 thats probably why theyre getting rid of these ones but the one I have I've had for a few years already and its my favorite light for working in my truck and for camping so now I have 2 😎
Beware this has broken USB Compatibility. It won't work with any C-to-C cable. C-to-A cables only. This totally wrecks the deal for me since it won't work with most of my chargers.I bet they get a lot of returns because people can't figure out why it doesn't work with their charger.
I have one I bought a year or so ago that will only charge usb a-c however, to my surprise, a recently purchased clearance one will charge usb c.
