There's also open boxes starting from 411$ pretty good deal if you find it in stock and in good shape.

I own this! I got it open box for sub $500 last November. It's a really excellent monitor. I work as a videographer and do some gaming and find that it is excellent for both. I did have to disable Freesync because the subtle rolling effect especially at lower brightness was freaking me out. Also I could never get it to update firmware.

Otherwise it's been seriously amazing and I can't imagine going back to anything less than this

I've had this monitor since it launched. It's seriously incredible. This is the kind of price that makes me seriously consider getting a second one. However, at this price, I can't help but wonder if they're clearing out stock in advance of releasing an updates version (tandem oled? Better reflection handling?). Either way, if you're looking for a great gaming/work monitor, this one is seriously good. 140w charging means my 16" MBP charges at full speeds w/o it breaking a sweat. And imo, the pre-set color profiles cover a variety of scenarios. The KVM is also nice lol.

If you've had your eye on this, now may be the time

Thoughts on this vs a widescreen? I have a 32" HP today but always feel I need more room, but hate that widescreens drop height.

I have both 32 and a 34.If you are doing 1 monitor setup, do the 32 (the height difference is noticeable. If you do 2 monitors , then I would say having 2x 34" is ok
