Edit 8/27/2026, Looks like trade-in deal is MOSTLY DEAD. On 8/21 it was revised to no longer accept broken devices, and on 8/27 modified so that older devices only get a $450 credit instead of $900.
Original post: Existing T-Mobile customers can get up to a $900 trade in value on Google Pixel 11 phones. The trade in can include some lower end phones, and works on older calling plans (including Go5G and ONE, but not simple choice)
The correct rebate only showed when I was logged into my T-mobile account. It says it's for "Essentials and select legacy plans". My old T-Mobile ONE plan worked. (edit: others have reported Simple Choice plans don't work, only a $250 rebate)

For a base Google Pixel 11 this would make it basically free. For higher end models it's a $900 discount.
Interestingly, the plan says the credits are split out over 36 months, but the checkout and my actual order confirmation show it's only spread over 24 months.

Aside from that, this year's Pixel models are just another example of how Google's phones are just a massive letdown every year and nowhere near the value-per-dollar of of flagships from other companies. I got the sanding S26 Ultra direct from Sanmsung maybe two months ago for ~$1K, unlocked. Google keeps raising prices but fails to increase the performance and feature set in a comparable manner.
I still hope they will become more bold in the future (like the days of the Nexus devices) but for now, I never recommend a Pixel device unless you can get an unbelievable deal on it and definitely not locked to a carrier

That's part of the debacle. Our/My phones through the T- Life app showed we were targeted and promoted the pixel 10 offer, Brought our trade in phones to a corporate store 3 months ago and it was instantly logged in the system,but yet we're still not receiving our credits, and after multiple calls to customer service and supervisors, it still has not been corrected and credits applied. My next step is an FCC complaint.
So to anyone thinking about taking this Pixel 11 offer, weigh your options real hard! I am a legacy customer, had a ONE 55 plan for over a decade. They've raised my rates twice, changed my plan on there own this month , and Got rid of my autopay by credit card discount/benefit last year. So my plan that was originally $60 per month "One unlimited 55 for 2 lines", Tmoble has raised and switch me to "Experience signiture with 55 savings" to which it now cost me $90 a month for just 2 lines of service.

Now as for Samsung and Google, that's an apple to oranges comparison hanging on an Android tree. Has Google kept up with having the most powerful processors, no. Or even the best battery life, not close. But compared to a Samsung phones, I still prefer pixels with no bloatware and Samsung's UI is a mess. Also, Google PIxels are the Only phone that gives you free unlimited VPN service built into the phone and that service is accessible for the life of the phone through google(for me I love my security and that was a selling point) Just for comparison Pixels cost $1K vpn included, if I was to buy a Samsung s26 +/ultra at $1k and get nord vpn I'd pay them monthly it's $12.99 (full disclosure playing annually would be less). For me I plan to keep my pixel for close to 5 years, even though it comes with 7 years of updates. So with that Samsung s26 for that same 5 years of nord VPN would be an extra $780 out of pocket, so yeah I'll stick to my pixels, but I agree, I do miss the Nexus days.
