Edit 8/27/2026, Looks like trade-in deal is MOSTLY DEAD. On 8/21 it was revised to no longer accept broken devices, and on 8/27 modified so that older devices only get a $450 credit instead of $900.
Original post: Existing T-Mobile customers can get up to a $900 trade in value on Google Pixel 11 phones. The trade in can include some lower end phones, and works on older calling plans (including Go5G and ONE, but not simple choice)
The correct rebate only showed when I was logged into my T-mobile account. It says it's for "Essentials and select legacy plans". My old T-Mobile ONE plan worked. (edit: others have reported Simple Choice plans don't work, only a $250 rebate)

For a base Google Pixel 11 this would make it basically free. For higher end models it's a $900 discount.
Interestingly, the plan says the credits are split out over 36 months, but the checkout and my actual order confirmation show it's only spread over 24 months.

I personally don't like how Samsung crams in a whole redundant set of apps and app store.
Google does tend to push arguably pointless gemini AI features in some areas of their phone's interface. Although I still personally prefer it to Galaxies.
Might still be worth it to just take the $650 off offer via T-Mobile I guess.
It's just a people whining about the recent T-mo increase in monthly costs. They moved people off of legacy plans to their Essentials plan, which bumped up the price a few bucks per line. I have 5 lines and pay $112 on the new Essentials plan, since I kept my 3 free lines and employer discount. Plus I don't have to deal with the deprioritized garbage that you get with Mint, Visible, etc.
With the Costco $100 promotion, they are effectively paying me to upgrade to a Pixel 11. No complaints from this guy.

I only see the $900 off for a new line. We're on Magenta Max.
We're not gonna leave T-Mo because we pay low prices (until they decide otherwise) and most other carriers will be more expensive anyway but looks like we're never getting phones from T-Mobile. Unlocked phones it is. Seriously, F the new CEO for this.
