Edit 8/27/2026, Looks like trade-in deal is MOSTLY DEAD. On 8/21 it was revised to no longer accept broken devices, and on 8/27 modified so that older devices only get a $450 credit instead of $900.
Original post: Existing T-Mobile customers can get up to a $900 trade in value on Google Pixel 11 phones. The trade in can include some lower end phones, and works on older calling plans (including Go5G and ONE, but not simple choice)
The correct rebate only showed when I was logged into my T-mobile account. It says it's for "Essentials and select legacy plans". My old T-Mobile ONE plan worked. (edit: others have reported Simple Choice plans don't work, only a $250 rebate)

For a base Google Pixel 11 this would make it basically free. For higher end models it's a $900 discount.
Interestingly, the plan says the credits are split out over 36 months, but the checkout and my actual order confirmation show it's only spread over 24 months.

when i called yesterday via Costo T-mobile line, initially agent said, let me see what you have, he was not able to locate the FREE phone offer. but after I provided the promo ID (its on first page of this forum/deal), agent said, OH, that worked $900 off after 24-months.
i am not sure why this forum mention is 36-months, but Costo confirmed many times is 24-months. PLUS $100 GC per new phone.
if ya not getting the $900 via Costo, just give them to promo ID directly, probably faster then for the agent to check out what you have.
PS... before I called, i did try to mimic upgrade and a pop-up on bottom of T-Mobile did say FREE with trade-in, but no details for me to see. so I just called Costo directly instead
PPS phone is on pre-order. so i won't even see my new phone until after 20th... i'm not in a hurry anyway but my 3 iphones are ready wiped and to be sent in for the offer
To anyone considering this. They churn their plans almost yearly and make your last year's plan legacy, which is normally not eligible for most of the phone deals.
ATT does offer to pay off your phone with existing carrier. however, i have not compare to other carriers if can beat T-mobile plan i hold.

Doing a simple mock purchase in T-Life will show the correct terms for the promo on a given plan. One can then complete the purchase via Costco for the extra perks if they so desire.
