These have a lower profile which is good for technical trails, but that does mean less cushioning. The shoe is also light weight for a trail shoe with its more minimal upper. The grip is good for a trail racing shoe. The only real problem is sizing. Some reviews say it's true to size and some say size down. If it fits well, then it's a good low weight shoe for technical trails.

With 2-4mm lugs I doubt these are good on technical trails.

I would agree with size down recommendation on these. But honestly, it's worth the extra money to buy the racing version of this shoe (Agravic Speed Ultra) to benefit from much more Lightstrike Pro "superfoam". I never wear these anymore after getting the Ultra.

The first gen Ultra can be found for under $100 on eBay the last time I checked.

I actually snagged these shoes before a trip to Switzerland where we were doing a lot of hiking. I got my normal size at adidas and it fit well. Grip is EXCELLENT, comfortable/light shoe, and held up for a bunch of hikes now. The upper does seem thin, like it could rip if you caught it badly on something but seems to be doing fine for me so far at least.
