Battery runtime is abysmal. If you have a small suburban yard, this is probably fine. I got the 16" attachment capable model because I wanted a polesaw attachment and for the extra battery to pair with my Toro leaf blower. I have a gas trimmer, but tried the battery one for the heck of it and while it has decent power, it just doesn't last long enough for a larger yard. Barely enough juice to go around my house with the 2.5ah battery.

I'm seeing the deal pricing now. Lowe's website says the $100-off sale ends September 9

About how many minutes did the 2.5 ah battery last you?

The Lowe's website says "Up to 45 minutes of runtime with 2.5 Ah battery (based on usage conditions)" but I guess your usage conditions reduced that time?

I have toro's 8 ah battery that is heavy, so I don't think it would be a good use on the weed trimmer, unless I try to see it as a weight lifting workout?

I have a different model toro 60v trimmer it lasts fine on the 2.5 Although I cut grass with it and not real heavy stuff.
usually speed 1 full trigger. I went around the house, the shed, and a couple other small areas and it used 1 bar.

It was less than 30 minutes for me. On speed 1. I got most of the way around the perimeter of my house and have a little hill on the backside of my house that I did. No real heavy weeds, mostly grass that was a bit overgrown from all the rain we've been getting. And you're probably right about the 8ah battery. I tried out my 4ah battery (from my leaf blower) and it was very back heavy with that. Luckily I was borrowing the strap off my Stihl trimmer. Would absolutely not want to lug it around with an 8ah battery and no strap.

Great timing, mine is dying and it's time to replace it. Excellent Deal, thanks OP!
