I believe the loose/big part, as the last set I had did that and the liquid would spill out. Actually happen the other day using them to store greens.

Do you run them through the microwave and/or dishwasher high heat? I don't seem to have this problem, but I don't do either of those things.

This right here.

I handwash all of my Pyrex plastic lids as well as my Rubbermaid Brilliance and never put them in the microwave.

The only things that should go in the dishwasher are items constructed of glass, silicone, or metal.

The only things that should go in the microwave should be constructed of glass.

They'll last forever that way.

I wash all my Pyrex pieces in the dishwasher, including the lids, and have NEVER had a leakage problem.

Yes and no. I don't have a dishwasher and hand wash everything and lids from this set I purchased in the past have indeed cracked. No microwaving either. It does happen.

I have a similar pyrex set, I always throw the lids in the dishwasher but always top shelf. They've maybe gotten a tiny bit looser after the 8 years I've been using them but no cracks yet.

Even brand-new these types of lids aren't leak proof, so I've always used other glass containers with locking lids for that.
