The Ride Millennium is a Saucony lifestyle sneaker with retro styling, and the price sits in line with similar off price pairs. It has a lace closure and can work as an everyday throwback shoe, while the Ride line with a number is the better fit for serious running. The main drawback is sizing, since wide options are not available here and Saucony wide widths are now limited on many lighter models. That makes it a decent casual pick if standard width works.

They dont make as many wide size options as they used to.

From AI: "Starting in 2020, Saucony wide options are only offered for high-cushion and stability shoes and will no longer be available in their lighter or speed-oriented series"

Too bad, they were my go to shoe for awhile and had a fair amount of wide options.

The job of every father is to embarrass their kids in all ways possible. Don't forget to yell how they're so fire when they play baseball.

*Lace closure offers a secure fit

Pretty sure it's laces only. In my experience, any that can clip on always advertise or list that aspect.

Trying to get back into running, and these were always my "go to" shoes. Ordered 2 pairs for ~$70 with the rewards program, hopefully it takes.

Thanks OP and thanks MichaelN6994 for the tip on the loyalty program.

I have these and they are more so throwback fashion shoes and not something I would want to run in. Saucany has plenty of serious running shoe lines out there, though.

I think ride and guide models and one of the top end ones, endorphin I believe is wide.I usually get a Ride model every year in wide. They're losing their market without wides

Dunno, I've run 4 Ironmans, a bunch of shorter tris, and probably 30 marathons in Saucony Rides, starting with the Ride 5 maybe 12 years ago.

They're plenty good for running.

Turns out the "Millennium" is just a LIFESTYLE shoe, so $40 is about normal price for something like that at a Marshall's or TJ Maxx. If you are an actual runner, opt for one of the Ride models with a number behind it. Current season is "Ride 19"
