I don't even know if dorms allow these. It has been a very good air fryer for the money for me so far. The item itself gets pretty hot, especially the french doors and needs plenty of room around it. You would need to dedicate a good amount of space to this. It beeps plenty loud with every button press and I havent figured out if you can mute it. Those are the two drawbacks I can see in a dorm room, but otherwise it does its job quite well.

Edit: So I googled muting it and there is a way to mute some Gourmia air fryers. Out of respect for others in the house, I wont try this morning, but will later this evening and I will let you know if it works.

No. This is about the size of a 27" monitor and deep as hell. The doors can leak heat besides the regular vents depending on build quality, making your room hot.

Can anyone comment on making chicken wings with this? Does it take longer because of the gap from the french doors? I have an old airfryer I'd like to replace. Wings take a long time and can only make a small batches at a time so it takes forever. This one looks like it would air fry more wings per batch.

I am sure it is cheaper during BF sales, but then again, most things like this are. It's been harder to find one at this size, power, and price point lately. If someone needs one now, it's not a bad deal, but if you don't need it now, then yeah, wait for BF sales.

I have this model with top side controls. I would say it not good for small dorm room. It takes up about same space as large microwave. Due to heat it radiates you want a few inches on sides and back clear and top side probably about 3-4 inches.

Power rating is fine. I cook 12" pizza in it to perfection(11 mins, 385, rotate once). Due to french door design there is a bit of heat leakage towards front but not bad at all. Though due to this cooking is uneven unless you rotate at half the cooking times. Then no issues. I got silicon gloves off amazon. I just open it rotate tray or whatever I am cooking and throw back in to finish.

Cleaning is very easy. I use high temp baking sheets when making nearly anything. Everything kind of melts towards the bottom included tray. So you only have to clean that and tops and sides lightly. The heat elements rarely get dirty because they just melt everything off during cooking. High temp baking sheets save a lot of clean up and I reuse them sometimes.

As for cooking I've done, wings, pizzas, nuggets, eggrolls, pasta dishes, hash browns, reheating various items(orange chicken), dehydrate, ect. All zero issues and came out amazing just remember the rotate rule for half/cooking time.

O another note. The handles don't get hot but when you open it, don't forget to not use the inside of the door near the handle to close it. Make sure to always open and close from the handles. I almost burnt myself a few times nearly forgetting that.

Forgot to post last night. It does not unmute with the usual method. Google says it will work with this specific model but it does not.

This thing makes awesome wings, it's like 25 mins on the wings setting and it works well. However because of the lower heating unit, the constant drip will cause a smoke alarm to go off. This thing isn't really an air fryer. It's like an oven.

I know I'm not a metric person, but how can a .8 cubic foot object contain 24 liters?

I didn't check the product's size.... I know someone that has a French door toaster oven and it's almost 2 ft tall.
