Good mesh device. I assume you could do meshcore or meshtastic. I have the meshtastic version. I ordered from Amazon not AliExpress

you can flash either software. There's no particular version for meshtastic or meshcore 🙂

Typically they come ready to use out of the box with one or the other; meshcore or meshtastic. However it's pretty easy to flash or reprogram them for either so you're not locked in.For example; I bought meshtastic versions when they were a few dollars cheaper than then the meshcore version. As soon as I received them I flashed them to meshcore.

Make sure to ALWAYS have an antenna connected before powering on. One other note about these - they use an antenna connector that is not compatible with most aftermarket antenna and requires an adapter. Learned that the hard way and ruined an aftermarket antenna.

For anyone wondering what this is (like I was), this is basically a little off-grid communicator / GPS tracker. What sets it apart is that it uses Meshtastic, rather than cellular/Wi-Fi. (Please let me know if I got anything wrong.)
