Not sure what value this sort of rage bait comment ads
As far as the deal goes, IMO pay a bit more and get the P2S with AMS and dont look back

Please do not support this type of nonsense on any level.
Right to own right to repair. Freedom!!!
Yet let's consider the other side.
I recall a few decades ago Mac was pretty tied down and guess what, they were the reliable ones.
So, if you control who can mess with your hardware you can quality control it.
If you are the only ones and don't bother with certifications and trials of outside companies, then you have a lot less headaches.
Creality is the wild, wild west. The exact opposite of what we are looking at here and I have really no clue as to what add-on broke what!
I still expect what I bought to keep running at least the same way as the day I bought it. Never remove features that's just dishonest.
I am looking at getting a 3d printer and was settling on Bambu A2L or P2S( still debating the size vs material capabilities) for the ease of startup use of the printer from this brand.
But have been concerned with some of the recent issues that have been reported on Tom's Hardware about the open source conlficts and litigation that has been ongoing.
Also considering Prusa printers but they seem a little pricier than the Bambu for comparable printer but I like they are open source supportive and quite reliable from what Claude has been able to aggregate from forums and reviews.

i'm coming from a few different Creality printers, back before CoreXY was mainstream... the difference in both the prints and quality of product was night and day. obviously these days, others have caught up with the CoreXY style, but are still lacking in the available support area and build quality.
the only people screaming "screw the customer" are the opensores crew... yeah, BL products are locked down and controlled, that's why they work so well and can provide the level of support they do. i don't want to fiddle with opensores crap, i just want my product to work... much like Android phones, it ain't 2010 anymore and I don't want to put CyanogenMod on my devices anymore, i just want tools that work in 2026.
if you want a printed to be a tool and not the hobby... go BL, there's no comparison.

I did just remember that they rendered my Panda Touch useless with a firmware update, but their CS is what turned me off more.
Also, since you have both, do you find yourself reaching for the A2L more or the X2D for printing out PLA/PETG filaments?
