Class-D is extremely efficient compared to the older amps which I used to use that were a lot bigger and far less efficient so they created a lot more heat. Class-D amps are like 1/4th the size while having the same power output and they are way more efficient so they don't require a big heat sink or an inline giant capacitor like older amps did, so that's why this one is much smaller. It obviously won't have all the circuitry that a better quality class-D amp would have so it might not sound quite as clean, but it is a great inexpensive upgrade to add on to most car stereos because it can run 2-ohm speakers instead of most car stereo head units which only work with 4-ohm speakers. I've never used this brand but most cheap class-D amps work decently well compared to midpriced "good" ones unlike cheap speakers which have a HUGE difference in performance between cheap and midpriced ones.
