Every charger like this (including this one) will never output 125W. It will be a more realistic 12w-20w
Yep, for some reason these companies list "a 60w port and a 65w port" as a 125w charger, even though it's one or the other, not both. And those numbers need a 24v battery, which your car doesn't have.For anyone thinking of buying this, it'll only do 36 watts over either port in a regular car (12V @ 3 amps). And only 5 volts if you use both ports at once, not sure if 12 watts per port or maybe even 12 watts combined.
Can't comment on this specific one, but no, they generally don't get hot because the specs are a lie. It's a 36 watt charger at most, not 60, 65, or 125, no matter what you plug into it.
I'm happy if it doesn't get hot. I'm more worried about it burnng my car down.
Just need an upgrade from my old USB-A charger that doesn't ad charge if the nav is running.
