How is Switch 2 sales doing now, btw? Switch 2 going on clearance and retailers begging customers to buy them.
Number of Xbox (Series X and S) consoles sold since launch in 2020: 35 million
Number of Switch 2 consoles sold since launch in 2025: 24 million
The Switch 2 is doing fine. I do agree it has an upgrade problem though. If you're having fun playing a Switch 1, there's no real reason to upgrade to a Switch 2 until they stop making new games for Switch 1. Also, a lot of people are probably waiting for a Switch 2 Lite or some sort of price break, but that isn't happening because of chip prices.
