lol I get the feeling, but this is all about portability. 16" screen weighing 2.6 lbs and .5 inches thick. Also gets 20+ hours of battery life.

If you travel a lot, you are basically paying like 700~ or so to cut 1-1.5 lbs off the weight of a normal business laptop.

I bought a 16" Gram at Costco last year and it might be the best laptop I have owned. It's crazy how light it is, but it's still really durable. Not buying this at $1800, but the weight is amazing.

Are these known to have poor build quality?

The better question is $3150 for a laptop with no discrete GPU? Who in their right mind would ever pay north of $3K for this thing?
Even $1800 seems more like what it should normally cost, not as a "deal".

I don't know. I'm just biased because everything else LG branded i used to have failed after one year. TV, ACs, something else.

I got a 14" a few years ago. It was terrible. Not sure about this. My dad has a 17" from a few years ago, a gen after the one I got. It's doing fine, but it 95% of the time stays in one place, and the rest of the time it's just packed a few times a year and left in that place again. I'd not use it as a take-all-over-the-place laptop. Too flimsy.
