I have this phone and it can no longer update the iOS because there is not enough memory even when I delete and offload everything. 64gb is useless these days. iOS 26.6 requires 18gb of free space.

almost TBH

I bought this with the 1 year plan a few weeks ago for $165.

IOS + "System Data" automatically take up 28gb before Apps, pictures, etc.

I used data from my previous iphone (128gb storage) and it wasn't able to fully transfer my data because I had over 64gb of data so I had to delete some pictures/videos and music (yes I add itunes music to my phone I don't stream)


after doing that I only have a few gb left to snap pictures. I will be upgrading soon.


IF you are a SUPER BASIC iphone user MAYBE but IOS is continually taking up more GB of storage every year with every update.

What are the terms? Do I need to activate or can device be left in a sealed box? SIM card or esim? Can line be transferred to a different unlocked device if activated? Can line be cancelled right away?
Sorry, a lot going on in my head.

I'm using this and, well, I'm dissatisfied because iOS is so awful, but as a phone, it's fine. Currently 24.4 gb free. It's a second phone for me. I just needed a real phone for another number and wanted an iphone for that whatever color stuff that kids obsess about.

Verizon doesnt care , I even remember doing 40,60 dollar brand new prepaid phones from Walmart and getting $1000 as trade in . Both personal and business btw. I even purchased a iPhone 11 of eBay for 100 and traded in for $1000 and got a iPhone 14 pro

in my phone IOS takes up close to 28gb for IOS and "system data" damn near half of the 64gb internal storage.
There is a bug in iOS and Apple seems to drag their feet on this issue. It saves stuff, then forgets where it put it and unable to delete it. Both first party apps and 3rd party apps do this.
You must do a full factory reset to empty out the lost storage. Apple offers free 21 day backup trial, use that to backup and restore, takes 10 mins of actively monitoring it + whatever the download/install time will be.

Yes, I have done that before, assuming your old phone it's unlocked or work with tracfone
