A "Hey I just watched a movie" thread

One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.)
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

Hey, just wanted to say thanks again, this time, specifically for leading me to find out about Johnnie To and Milkyway. It's always nice to get turned on to a good movie that you haven't seen before. It's another whole level of goodness to get introduced to a director/producer/production company with such a great catalog
Just finished watching Running Out of Time [imdb.com] Great movie. Really enjoyed it !!
Starting up Exiled [imdb.com]now.
I watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World over the weekend. Didn't quite capture the feel of the books for me, but it was okay. My wife didn't hate it, which was surprising.
I still need to fire up the DVR and watch Back and Forth and SNL.

Then you know what I'm here after.
(Sorry...it's my favorite "Hereafter" joke. In fact, it's my only "Hereafter" joke.)
The Big Hit - decent amount of action and humor to keep me entertained. and Marky Mark with his shirt open during half the movie didn't hurt things.
The Big White - i'm not sure if "strange" is the word i'd use. the whole premise of the movie is kind of weird, but there was enough humor involved to keep me from turning it off. i likely won't watch it again, but i'm not mad that i bought it on Blu-Ray for $6

Saw some movies:
Splice: 2.5/5 - Interesting movie, I thought it was some weird creepy alien movie but it wasn't.
Book of Eli: 3.5/5 - I was a bit confused because they story/movie just opens and a man is just on a journey after something happened...wasn't sure what until the movie progressed and he had a mission to accomplish... The picture itself was nice.
Spoiler:
Repo Men: 3.5/5 - I thought this movie was going to be about cops and robbers, but I was wrong again! It's wrong to judge a book by its cover, a movie by its name. But I do, call me bias. I do agree with the previous reviewer that the ending was a bit of a twist, but I think that was the good part! I knew that darn program they kept promoting throught the movie was going to factor into it somehow.
But just a small plot, the movie is about a company that develops artificial body parts for those in need of a transplant, instead of waiting on a live organ donor, they can opt for this artificial part which have worked, the parts aren't cheap a kidney is somewhere around $600K, plus interest...and if you can't afford payments, the organization sends their repo men to take those organs out of you at no extra charge.
Green Zone can't rate this either, I fell asleep for the most part.
Oh another one I saw:
Cop Out: 2.5/5 - another Bruce WIllis action flick with comedy. Not as many action seens or crazy bomb throwing scenes but I didn't sleep through this one.

Spoiler:
Batman Returns - hadn't seen it. Didn't care for Liam Neesom in that role. Excellent screenplay but poor direction/adaption. No chemistry between Bale and Holmes. When he kissed her all I could think about was herpes. (Google images Katie and cold sores. Yikes.)
Men in Black II - hadn't seen it. Funny but empty. Tommy Lee Jones was fantastic in the first movie I ever saw him in (The Executioner's Song) but his potential has been overlooked so often since then.
POTC At World's End - hadn't seen it. Better than the first two films but still way too heavy on action. It's like the plot was an excuse for action instead of the action being a result of the plot like it should have been. Every rule they taught us in film school goes right out the window when it comes to blockbuster films. May or may not see POTC 4 next month.
Movie really scared me, somes scenes are extrtemely creepy. Didn't help I watched it at night with lights off.

Tsui Hark is another HK director whose work I enjoy. I would start with "Time and Tide" if you have not seen it.
Thanks. Will see if I can find this one as well. Looking at IMDB now, I see that I've watched a couple of his movies previously; Once Upon a Time in China 1 - 3 back when I was on a Jet Li kick.

Simply an amazing movie. Tried to lay down and relax while watching it and kept finding myself sitting back up and moving to the edge of my seat. A definite "must see".
