One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

Not for everyone. Very graphic in its portrayal of revenge. Korean take on Se7en by the director Kim JeeWoon. 4 out of 5 stars.

Exit Through the Gift Shop - Probably was overhyped since I thought it was decent but was expecting better.

Beer Wars - Very well done. Makes me think twice about wanting to drink Goose Island again.

So do you think she just had a breakdown or do you think there was sexual abuse as some viewers have implied? It confused me too.

You know, I went into this movie expecting that whole parental-sex-abuse storyline, and when it never surfaced, I was like.... Huh

I guess I can see where that idea would have come from, but honestly, I have no idea what to think about this movie right now. Having finally watched it, it makes me want to Google all sorts of film analysis websites and read everyone else's thoughts, just to see if it will help me understand it all. laugh out loud

I don't find anything appealing about other women. But as a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman, sexuality can be confusing.
