One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

This weekend:

"Of Gods and Men" - A French movie about a monastery in North Africa (in the middle of an area thick with terrorists). Not bad

"Facing Windows" - A really good Italian movie (in part) about a family who takes in an amnesiac elderly man (and how his presence changes their lives. I liked it a lot.

Black Lightning - Excellent Russian film about a college guy whose father unwittingly gives him a car that can fly. Tragedy strikes and he decides to use the car to fight crime and help a group of scientists. It's like the Russian version of Batman without the costume. Seriously. The film was as good as its trailer:
