One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) Big Grin

I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)

So what have you folks watched recently?

i loved the first, tolerated second,and laughed at least a few times during the third. fourth.. i just couldn't watch. twice i gave up watching it.

I thought it had very funny parts in it, and overall it was a decent movie (IF you liked the first one). However, I will say that But that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the reviews of Hangover 2. Am gonna break my personal rule against seeing sequels.

i watched Basketball Diaries Thumbup i see what all the hype was about in the 90s, and i'm not sure why i didn't watch it sooner. i thought it was excellent.

i just started Don Juan Demarco but it's late and i'll finish it laugh out loud

I watched Salt tonight. Was prepared to be disappointed, but I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Kind of a Bourne movie, but with Jolie, and left open to continue the action. Thumbsup

We saw Kung Fu Panda 2. Good show for the family. Worth a matinee.

Disappointed with The Green Hornet - started okay, had some neat special effects, stupid ending.

BTW - that one scene you warned about was absolutely heartbreaking.

I finished or outright watched a lot of movies over the holiday weekend:
Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
Anchorman - The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004)
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939)
Observe and Report (2009)

The first three were great, but Observe and Report was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. I like Seth Rogen, but it was really difficult to not turn that movie off. It was a short movie, but not short enough.

I can't wait to track down some of the other Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies. bounce
