One of the other forums I go to has one of these threads and I've been turned on to some good movies that other regulars just watched. I was kind of surprised not to see a similar thread here (at least not that I could find.) 
I just rewatched "Kinamand" - a cute drama about a Danish plumber who gets involved in an arranged marriage with a Chinese illegal. Good stuff (Netflix instant.)
So what have you folks watched recently?

It's action-y and overall fine, but, I don't know, it's hard to root for the heroes of a movie when I don't particularly like them very much. Even Spock, who is supposed to not show emotions, often seems to have some weird, annoying, emotional facial expression going on.
Mission to Lars
A man with a form of autism tells his brother and sister every day, "I want to meet Lars (Ulrich of Metallica)." They get tired of him saying it, so they take a trip to the U.S. from the UK and drive an RV to concerts trying to make it happen while filming it and all the problems along the way. It's pretty fun and, what's the word I'm looking for, I suppose so I don't strain my brain too hard I'll just go with "touching."

Fast and Furious 6
Pretty good! Over-the-top car chases and a bit too much cheese, but hey.
Amusing how The Rock makes Vin Diesel look like a couch potato.
Iron Man 3
Jumped the shark.
iron man 3. again 4/5. iron man 1 had an antihero as its plot point. it was unique, and endearing. you hated that you were rooting for the billionaire playboy who made his money on killing so many people. you loved he tried to change that into fixing his mistakes.
iron man 2 was favreau with a wide open script and no idea what to do.
3 was a rich character and a writer that can use it. there are plot holes galore, but it works a lot better than 2.
fast 6. to enjoy this, you have to realize what its aiming for. this is a fast car/big explosions/hot girls movie. its cheap to make, and the dvd sales usually cover costs. rest is gravy. given that, its great. no it doesn't make sense, but its funny and has great action scenes.
But no, really, it was mostly the kid on the boat with the tiger.
Still, I really liked it, and was surprised that I liked it that much. But it was so sad.
I guess it gets good votes from me because I wasn't expecting much, and ended up liking it pretty well. Never happy with the ending though
Oz the Great and Powerful [imdb.com] - Crazy visuals, some funny parts, could have been about 20 minutes shorter. It was fun to watch. 3.25 out of 5.
Action was really great, acting fun. But just can't put my finger on why I felt "meh" when I left. I think it's because I've watched too many superhero movies lately and was expecting more inspiration/save the world one man against all odds.

I Am Number Four - Good action movie with an unusual plot, *spoilers ahead* a bit slow in the middle while setting up the storyline and characters, then lots of action. Worth watching. I would happily watch a sequel to this first movie. Note: The movie is based on the first of a series of young adult novels. 3/5
