If you get a rash, you probably have an allergy to the compounds found in turmeric. One thing I wish I knew early is that blood test can be used to help identify food allergies. You can get a screen to find out what you are allergic to and don't have to go through the typical skin scratch testing.

If you have insurance, your primary doctor can order a screening and/or you might be able to get a screening yourself but will have to pay out of pocket. I got one a few years ago and it explained I had a birch pollen, which is why I had oral reactions to stone fruit when eaten raw, but when cooked have zero issues. The blood test aren't perfect but it will give you an idea of potential things you could be allergic to and definitely worth your time/monies to get.
