I am using an aftermarket 80V Amazon 4Ah 80V battery and it's still going strong. If you have a garage that gets cold in the winter keep all your tools lithium batteries in the house and charged 50 to 70%.
Extreme cold temperatures will kill these lithium batteries.

- Overall build quality is great and I appreciate the metal deck
- The mower always uses the left battery first until it is fully discharged before switching to the other battery. There is a noticeable drop in power when the battery gets low so I wish it had some more intelligent power sharing system to maintain consistency. I sometimes stop mowing to swap the batteries for this reason. I sort of wish it came with one 8Ah battery rather than two 4Ah batteries
- I have a typical 1/3rd acre suburban lot with about 10k sq feet of grass. I don't think I have ever run out of charge with the 2 batteries but it gets close if the grass is overgrown
- It is definitely less powerful than a gas push mower which affects the cut quality. Overall I feel like I need to go slower to get decent results
- The mechanism for adjusting the self propel speed is very finicky. I miss the "personal pace" self propel on my old Toro gas mower. There is also some weirdness where the self propel drive doesn't disengage fast enough when you let go of it and doesn't allow the wheels to roll backwards right away. It's hard to explain but annoying

I have this mower it's great. I do have the 8 ah battery vs this two battery setup. I love it because no drop in experience until you get to the end of the battery's charge (never have) and I can use that larger battery on my other greenworks products.
This is not an paid advertisement. I am in no way connected to greenworks or it's subsidiaries or parent company 🤣🤣🤣
