Shipping kills the deal. The shipping isn't free. The 10 foot "100 watt PD" charging cable is short lived mediocre $5 nylon cable with the price padded by $15. A $20 payout to get "free" shipping Instead for $11 shipped I got a 10 ft true 240 watt 48 volt super flexible silicone cable with lifetime free replacement.

Why are these cables always 3.3 ft? Have we not advanced at all in this space?

To support 40gbps/240W, tolerances are tighter (more expensive for longer) and I believe there's a Max length in the spec for copper? 4-6 feet for TB4 and for usb4

Any longer and you need to be optical cable, or copper + 20gbps only

This is true. It's not the charging speed, you can get high charging with thicker cables. The data speed is hard to get at longer lengths. There are longer cables with fast data speeds but it gets very costly because of what the cable needs to do. Ugreen also sells a 80gbps version of this cable for a higher price.

I have this 40gbps version and it works great at 40gbps speed. Cable is a bit stiff and thick but expected for these data rates.

FYI one handy trick is to print labels for all your "good" usb-c cables. I label all my high power/high speed cables because it's almost impossible to tell them apart.

I use it for data/thunderbolt but noticed the 3.3 ft isn't long enough for laptop to monitor connection, went searching and noticed either lack of options or significant cost.

Esp for ones that work in car ports! I always find out on long trips half our cables are pure dookie!
