Great skillet. Continue the seasoning process and you'll be delighted. Take proper care when washing to preserve the surface and hand dry. I seem to remember that the Lodge website has pretty good instructions.

The Lodge skillets are OK. If you want to make it actually non-stick, you have to reseason the pan. The preseasoning here isn't going to make eggs slide off the pan as you would hope. You would need a lot of oil with the current level of seasoning. To properly season, heat your oven to 450. Take a high smoke point oil and rub it inside and outside of the pan. Wipe off all the oil with a towel. You want to wipe if off again until it looks like you have taken all the oil off. There will be oil still there. Place the pan upside down inside the oven on some foil. After an hour, remove and let cool. Repeat 3 times, and you should have a very slippery pan. The more you season, the better it gets.
