Recently bought a model a step above this from this brand. It's model number is rc32 but the different is a better chipset / cpu and more ram. Overall really happy with it for carplay. I have a very nice but older 7 inch kenwood deck in my truck and the sound is fantastic but the resolution for android auto / carplay is garbage. These units can send their BT audio out to other devices, so I just use that feature to my nice deck and let the new 11 inch high res, bright display be the wireless AA / carplay. Works great and I don't need to spend close to 1k for a new head unit with a bigger, higher res display. Android auto will auto pair when I power on the display and auto connect to the head unit as well for BT audio. Music automatically starts playing, etc.

Backup camera has a narrow fov and I can't find a replacement camera with a wider fov. Hard to see the ground near your bumper and any activity above knee height.

How does the price compare? All the links I see for the rc32 appear to be +100-200 more than this model. Does the performance justify the price gap?

Wish I could awnser this better. I would say the price different is probably worth it if you plan to use the OS on the rc32 with native apps alot. Since 99% of the time is just using it for wireless AA which is mostly based on the performance of my phone I'm not sure it's worth the price bump. Iirc I paid 129 before tax with a sale a month ago or so. They seem to be running a lot of sales, so might be worthwhile to just keep checking back. For wireless AA or carplay honestly it's probably fine with an older chipset assuming it still has a nice big bright display, the better resolution 1920 x 720 as it makes the maps nice and sharp and lots of room for elements. As long as it can still do Bluetooth audio out and has the wifi chips to do both tethered and AA wireless same time should be fine. What I'm trying to say that if all other things are mostly equal I'm not sure how much better the newer chipset makes the aa wireless experiance. I do appreciate the snappyness and the ota updates on the rc32 tho. YouTube works well. Maps is fine but has some drawbacks compared to AA layout imo. Spotify native app layout / gui is pretty terrible for whatever reason compared to how it looks and integrates in aa wireless. Imo
