So it turns 1 good USB-C port into 4 crappy USB port for charging? I guess there might be some cases where that is useful but I'm not really seeing it.

This thing looks ancient, quote from FAQ:

The Belkin BUZ001 has the following power specifications:
  • Total output: 5V / 6A 30W max
  • Max output per port:
  • USB-A 1 / A2: 5V / 2.4A
  • USB-C® 1 / C2: 5V / 3A
  • When four ports are used: 5V / 1.5A each
So basically, it's plain 5V 30w tops and if you split charing on two USB-C, it's 15w each but no USB PD protocol, which might trigger slow charging on modern phones (~5 years)

i was thinking this was made for the rear of a car because of the clip, but that wont really keep a phone or tablet charged while in use. the only good use case would be for charging a bunch of controllers or keeping devices in a drawer charging that are seldomly used

but worse than that since you still need a 30w plug to provide power to this
