Community Reviews
The Galaxy Tab A11+ is a fast, solid 11 inch tablet that stands out for everyday use, media, and travel, especially at the promo price. It feels noticeably quicker than the A9+, supports fast charging, and pairs well with Samsung devices. The tablet can come with either eSIM or physical SIM support, but Metro activation and checkout can be finicky, with browser issues, call in requirements, and account limits that may block extra orders. It is a strong value if you can get through the ordering hurdles and do not need a hassle free setup.
People who want a faster Android tablet for everyday apps, because it feels noticeably quicker than the A9+ and has no real lag on simple tasks.
Samsung ecosystem buyers who keep devices for years, because it offers longer update support and fits well with Samsung phones and earbuds.
Travelers who want a lightweight media tablet, because it handles Netflix and sheet music smoothly and stays useful on the go.
Home internet tinkerers who can use hotspot or Ethernet, because the tablet can share data and work with a USB-C Ethernet dock when Wi‑Fi is weak under load.
People who want a clean, unbranded setup without firmware work, because carrier branding and bloat can return unless you flash and disable carrier processes.
People who need a tablet line they can cancel immediately, because the account can be billed again after 30 days and cancellation may require persistence with support.
Travel-router users who need a removable physical SIM, because checkout may only provide eSIM and the tablet can be network locked.
Buyers expecting to move the SIM into another device, because Metro binds the SIM to the tablet IMEI and it may not work elsewhere.

I used Frija to download firmware and I am on U1 unbranded firmware so it does exist
Great deal. It's totally fine if you remove the bloat. And it's unlocked for tmobile
It came with an esim, so you need to enable wifi to auto-activate the esim. Can't even get to the main Android screen without doing that first - they force you to as part of the setup.
The cellular network lock is in place. Unlock previous generations of Metro provided tablets that come unlocked, this one is network locked.
Since it's a Metro phone, I'm not sure if it's unlocked for t-mobile. Yes metro is a MVNO for t-mobile, but that doesn't mean it'll work on a pure T-mobile sim. I don't know where people are so confidently getting their info from.
Can I just pay $30 basic prepaid phone plan today, in order to get this deal?
EDIT: I just tried, yeah it works

It absolutely does. It won't change the firmware but it forces reboot and configures carrier settings and it is an obstacle to csc change
