I have been wanting this really bad for the last 7 or 8 years, but cannot justify spending this much on pruners. I can get a pole saw for the same price. It just doesn't make sense. DTO had this or maybe the one a tad shorter for 179 a few weeks ago, but again, its pretty much the same price as a pole saw.

I've been keeping my eye on this as well to help trim a tree where higher branches are too thin for a pole saw to be effective. DTO has this pole lopper kit now for $156 and tool only for $138 (both factory blemished) during 40% off sale but they're both out of stock. Guess I'll stick with the manual pole pruner for now.
