I would recommend looking at a different headset than the Alpha. The plastic clips that hold the earcups onto the headband are prone to breaking and made of cheap plastic.

Same for all HyperX headsets. Everything else on the headset is super durable and high quality, and they use this fragile plastic for that one part. I'm on my third set of Cloud II (got them on a deal price) but even on sale I won't buy again, the clip keeps breaking every time. And I'm only able to still use them because when the right side clip broke on my newest set, I was able to replace it with the clip from my previous set where the left side clip broke.

I've gone through four Cloud/Cloud II/Cloud III wireless headsets due to that headband plastic housing breaking every 2 years or so, but I haven't had any problem with the Cloud Aplha headset...yet. I see the plastic parts you're talking about but all 4 are still crack-free on mine after 2 years. This is the first HyperX headset that hasn't shown signs of loosening/cracking so I really like it, and I especially like the battery life.
anyone has experience with used - like new with headphones on amazon? what's the condition really like? varies?
I've bought some random stuff used from Amazon over the years and haven't been disappointed yet, but a new one is only $108 (new) right now which is the best deal I've seen since Black Friday 2 years ago when it was $119.99 I think.
