Went to a local BestBuy store to find a deal on the cheapest 32" 4k monitor and the salesman searched the store database and found this monitor on Clearance from the warehouse priced at $102.99!! While researching this same model online through the BestBuy App and Web site, I could only find it for either full list price or on sale at $269.99. I don't know how this guy found it, brand new btw, for $102.99 but I bought it on the spot. It's only for delivery from the warehouse and will take a week to get here, which is fine. I didn't ask or see how many were still available.

If you're looking for a decent 4+ star rated low end 32" 4k Monitor with a reputable brand name like Samsung, this deal may be for you, but you may need to go to the store or call for this price. Monitor is just a monitor, no speakers, no USB hub, nothing fancy, just good quality screen, 4ms, gaming mode, 270nits, nothing fancy, just practical and great for the price, which fit my use case.

First off, screaming-good deal. I'm providing link to Samsung product page below, so people can make decision if it will meet their needs.
In short, it's a nice, but older, VA panel. I'm highlighting a handful of key, arguably negative specs in comparison to its contemporaries, as well as some nicer notes:

https://www.samsung.com/us/monito...590uqnxza/

Panel Type
VA
Brightness (Typical)
270 cd/㎡
Brightness (Min)
225 cd/㎡
Response Time (ms)
4(GTG)
Frame Rate
60Hz
Display Port Version
1.2
HDMI Version
2.0x1, 1.4x1
USB-C
No

On the upside:
FreeSync
Yes
Color Gamut (NTSC)
97%(typ)
Color Gamut (sRGB Coverage)
138%(typ)
Adobe RGB Coverage
102%(typ)
Flicker Free

VA has inferior viewing angles and color reproduction than IPS, but usually VA would be cheaper or have higher refresh rates for gaming

For $100, if you need a 32" monitor , doubt you'll get brandname 4k IPS at the price. Need $200 or settle for a noname one

So would this monitor be good for gaming?

OP what state or zip code are you in? I only ask bc I wonder is this a regional warehouse thing. I'm considering running to bestbuy to try and duplicate it. I been looking for a monitor for months. I was fortunate enough to get a 60-100$ 60th anniversary gift card last Saturday . This seems perfect!

Long Island, NY. I was thinking about picking up another one today since I just realized I have $30 in credit with BB making it like $73!

I asked if I could run to another store to grab it, and the salesman said they were only available to ship since they are in the warehouse. Kind of a bummer, but for the price I was like, ok. Ship it.

Sadly not seeing this price in my area, but open box is around $264. Worth it at that price?

There is also an MSI IPS (MSI - PRO MP273U 27") for about $160.

Not sure if either is worth the upgrade from a 27" ViewFinity S7.

I rushed this purchase, i had another obligation. had I read the reviews first I may not of purchased. No speakers there is a headphone jack not a deal breaker for me I have several job site speakers I don't use regularly. 2nd and big I think 60hz 1080p , 4k 30hz only according to a review that's almost 5 years old. However it is a 32" Samsung monitor for 100$. My order isn't scheduled till September 10 to arrive I may continue my search until than for something a little better.

VA panels are cheaper panels. I prefer IPS personally:

1. VA bad viewing angles. More of a problem with larger monitors
2. Slow. Means panel makers have to come up with hacks to speed up response time which can leave to ghosting, artifacting
3. Since they are slow, you can also sometimes experience flickering when going from low to high FPS suddenly or vice versa

It has 3 inputs, DisplayPort, 1HDMI1, HDMI2. Only one of the HDMI ports does 60hz 4k. the other does 4k at 30hz. I dont know why its like this, but just use the 60hz port for 60hz 4k. It's not a deal breaker for a new $103 4k Samsung display. Mine is supposed to arrive on Sept 8, the salesman said after the sale went through, saying its 2 days earlier than expected. You might get the same and just wasn't informed since you're near my area.
