UPDATE: The one listed here says it is hardwired, but it actually comes with a plug you can swap in and set to 40amp via dip switches (via the picture, comment above, and confirmed by the manual). So, I applied the code and ordered it. Thanks!

unreal price for a good charger, even tesla owners should just buy an adaptor to take advantage of this. I just recently bought an Iyilo charger, but I'd have bought this if this price existed.
I also saw a review that said that RFID can be turned off so it can be plug and charge.
I already placed my order for the 48A model where the code worked and the code doesn't work a second time on the 48A version either, so I can't test any longer.

Edit - some local jurisdictions require a permit and/or inspection for this type of work. YouTube is a great resource to show how to do this project. Also, if your garage has an existing 30A-50A outlet that was used with a dryer, welder, etc. it is really straight-forward to use it with a car charger. There are outlets you can swap to that are rated for electric car chargers (small green symbol on the outlet) that are recommended over older outlets just be sure you adjust the dip switches on the charger to match the breaker size on the outlet.
