From the manual, it looks like this has DIP switches to set it either at 48A or 40A charging. 48A charging requires hardwiring and a 60A breaker, 40A requires a 50A breaker and can be used hardwired or with the 14-50 plug.

All reviews say this a solid charger, but the code does not work on the 40amp plugin version.

UPDATE: The one listed here says it is hardwired, but it actually comes with a plug you can swap in and set to 40amp via dip switches (via the picture, comment above, and confirmed by the manual). So, I applied the code and ordered it. Thanks!

One piece of advice here if you do have an existing circuit that was used for a welder or dryer you 1000% should swap the outlet for one rated for EV charging unless you have a plug in hybrid and only charging it for an hour. Appliance outlets are notorious for failing for long term EV charging

It is not as small as thr tesla wall charger. Maybe about twice the size. So yes it is not small. It is easy to install. The charging cable is heavy gage and durable. It has worked really well and I charge my model y at 40amp. I have a nema 14-50 outlet in my garage that I had installed with my solar in 2019.

I bought an Autel charger a few weeks back when my Chargepoint died on me. I was eyeing Wolfbox and Autel then but pulled a trigger on Autel because of the aesthetics and functionality. Seeing this one at half the price now makes me feel the buyer's remorse. I still think it's not worth removing a hardwired Autel and return it for this, but it's too tempting.

You can use the dryer outlet, but set the wolfbox charger to 27 amp or 10% less the the outlet rating. I installed an automatic switch at my girlfriend's house and it worked perfectly.

It comes with the 14-50 plug. It take about 5 minutes to change it out. There is a great video that shows you how. I bought a 2nd one with this sale to install at my brother's place in vegar.
