That was partly my point. All electronics have risk of failure. This is lower and certified.

Plus if it does start a fire, you aren't trying to sue a company in Shezhen that will just point and laugh.

I've had very mixed experiences with Belkin, mostly disappointing overall. Looking at the 1 and 2 star reviews I'm going to pass on these, lots of reports of them working great then dying after a short period- that aligns with several Belkin items I've purchased. Belkin seems worse than Anker at warranty coverage. One user tested and found PPS specs inaccurate. Also flaky cables. Can't even find a reference for these being GAN or not, don't see a UL rating either. On the plus side, each one keeps 1.43 plastic bottles out of a landfill, so at least they have solved the environmental problem of plastic bottles LOL.

What aspect of warranty is lacking? I prefer Anker, but I'd still only describe their coverage as decent/adequate. The warranty on their equivalent product (45w gan) is 18 months, while Belkin is 24 months. I've tried submitting warranty claims with Anker that were a few months outside of the coverage period and was denied.

I don't like the price $15, but this is a good charger, as good as, or better than Anker. I have a single port 30W Anker to compare to. So this is better (45W vs 30W). Both chargers are very small and similar in size. You can be assured this is a GaN charger. I've had the Belkin for about 5 months. I paid $11 before tax. No cable included.

Will I buy it again? No, my next charger will be at least 65W. For those who need a charger and/or don't mind only getting 45W, I highly recommend it. Even higher, if the price is $11.

My Anker 30W gets hot, too during charging. Exactly like the Belkin 45W. They are small in size. They all get hot. My power strip has a on/off switch. As soon as I finish charging, I turn the switch off. The charger will cool down in no time.
