Quirks to note:
Even though it has disc brakes, because they aren't hydraulic, stopping is a bit soft.
Fenders are plastic, they work fine but aren't as high quality as metal ones.
Handlebars can't be raised up higher (you can't sit quite upright).
When pedaling at max power, the gears aren't tuned so that you can continue pushing the bike's speed higher.
Frame is on the small side, if you are above 5'10" I'd strongly recommend a bigger bike frame.
Screen has 3 brightness levels and is very hard to see in direct sunlight.
Tires are of lower quality compared to the sticky rubber tires on my more expensive e-bike.

Braking is the weakest point on this bike, but easy to address.
Easy bolt in front brake upgrade kit:

Cheaper options? Probably. Better options? Probably. But a proven $44 kit a teenager can put together with proper tools.
Something like https://www.amazon.com/2-Pistons-...B0FXZVR6RR is better value if you're fine replacing the brake cables. Catazer is a solid brand. And I doubt most people truly wear a brake rotor out during a budget eBike's life unless you have something like contaminants get on the brake pads.
If you can afford a full hydraulic brake system, you're probably better off buying a nicer bike.
At a minimum, replace the pads. Pads are a non-standard size on the stock calipers. Can't vouch from experience, but:

...should be an upgrade. Picked up a set to try for the rears.
Outside of aesthetics, zero point in upgrading the rotor if you don't get a larger caliper. You'd have to get an adapter anyway.
