Should I get into collecting minifigs? Is this a good entry point? Or would you have recs?

I'm buying this for my son, to add to his marvel collection of legos. Usually the advent calendars aren't a great price for what you get, the fun Wolverine is nice, and we already have multiple Iron Man, Captain America and Spiderman, but Dr. Doom is the one my son specifically wanted. He's hoping to craft a Dr. Doom costume for Halloween. For the multiverse, the youngest is collecting as many spiderman as she can. I'm not dealing with this selling out. I'll buy it, can always return and rebuy if it goes down in price.

Just know this is standard price at Costco. And usually these sets go down into the $20s closer to Christmas.

But if you want it now, the price is decent enough.

I just spent $118 on a minifig, so if you're into spending stupid amounts of money for tiny pieces of plastic, start collecting!

Where can I get cheap mini figs? Planning to go to Legoland and my kids will be trading. Ebay? Facebook? Any good sites? Or are the 3 create your own at the park cheap enough?

if you are just trading with the park workers you could just get used ones off ebay or facebook that's what i would do (if you have time).
