according to T-Mobile, less than 1% of their current subscribers use more than 50gb of data so for 99% of people this is literally a non-issue.

The real benefit of this plan is for people who still like to have access to retail store support (billing, upgrades, technical) and the ability to speak with live representatives over the phone - you don't get that option with most prepaid MVNOs.

Even my postpaid "One" plan has always had deprioritized data after I hit 50gb. As long as the data is just deprioritized instead of throttled, this is a decent deal.
