This LISEN 2 pack is a cheap, long USB C charging cable set that stands out for value and everyday convenience. The 6.6 foot length works well for desks, nightstands, travel, and car chargers, and the braided cable is described as flexible rather than stiff. Long term use is often solid, with reports of reliable charging for laptops and phones, though some cables have failed quickly, felt flimsy or brittle, or stopped fitting certain phone cases. The 240W claim also draws skepticism, with real world charging often landing well below that figure.

not at all the proper way to do a voltage or wattage test. your devices will make the cable fluctuate. LoL.
The same app, device and charger will make the cable fluctuate?

Used my INUI portable laptop charger, plugged this in to the 150w slot to charge my laptop and was getting 20-25w max of 30w.

For the price not bad, but they are not even close to what they are claiming.

If both cables did the same thing, I'd say it's more likely that it's something with the state of charge and/or communication with your portable laptop charger. These cables should support EPR if they're claiming 240W, but the fact that you got more than the legacy 15W (5V@3A) means they at least support SPR - which is up to 100W (20V@5A) - and your charger supports PPS.

There's no real reason the cable itself should be the issue here. Charging curves are exactly that, curves, and so 20-30W is entirely reasonable under some circumstances. I've never actually seen a laptop charge at such a low rate until it gets to a decently high SOC, in fact. For example, I can't plug any of my basic laptops into a 30W charger and have them do anything.

Also, how did you measure the output? Does the INIU unit have a screen? What was your laptop's SOC at the time you observed this? Was your INIU unit hot to the touch? Or the cables?

I'm not saying the cables aren't the problem, they could very well be. Bad batches happen. But with nearly 12k reviews, I feel like it would be very obvious very quickly that they don't support anywhere near the claim if that were, in fact, the case.

Nope! I tried getting 140W to work with these and it wouldn't happen. I've got nicer cables that can do it. These cables capped at 65W for my laptop. For the price that's fine, but they don't do more than 65W in my experience.
Mine work fine at 140W with a Macbook Pro. Kind of doubt they can do 240w reliably, but not a concern to me...I prefer it be thinner/more flexible than handle more than 140W.

That is where I was a little baffled, it has a TON of reviews.

Laptop is about 5 years old and supports USB C charging or barrel (65w HP charger). The INUI does have a display on it which showed me the W. It was around 45%, only pluged in for a min or two. I have used other cables (for instance my switch 2 one which I would consider "premium") without an issue and it didn't seem to get hot (I didn't test enough to let it get hot with these cables either).

With charging my phone it was back to back (i.e. charging with the switch 2 cable and then these) and the charging app (Charge Master) showed those 2 different things. Phone said both were Turbo charging (moto thing) but I think that is anything above 10W.

3 step process to charging with usb-c and a lot of moving parts. Charger says hey, here's what I can offer for amp/voltage combinations. Chip in the cord says hey, here's what I am and what I can handle. The laptop then decides which combination it wants to take. Laptops have all different internal specs and while the charger and cord might both be wonderful, the laptop only takes what power it wants to take.

I have a Lenovo Legion that does 140w usb-c, so that means this 240w cord works perfectly at 140w since 240>140, right? No. Did I expect it to when I bought this cord? NO! Lenovo 140w is proprietary and does 7a/20v. PD 3.1 caps at 5a. 140w PD3.1 is 5a/28v and that 140w isn't the same as Lenovo's 140w, so I'm limited to 5a/20v and 100w...but that doesn't mean I'm always going to charge at 100w.

When I use this Lisen cord with either a 100w/140w output from my elite 30 power station or an anker prime gan 100w power adapter when my legion is at a SOC of 35% or less and the laptop is on, what do I get? ZERO. Cable bad? Nope. Charger bad? Nope. Best I can tell is that this laptop just will NOT charge through usb-c when it's on, 35%SOC or less and a non-lenovo adapter is running the show. If it's sleeping and 35% or less, I get 60w charge. When I'm using my Talix 190W 20000mAh and 35%SOC or less, I get 85-95w charging using this Lisen cable. Talix is some Lenovo off-brand, so the laptop must read this as a Lenovo power adapter and I get power.

Why? No idea why the laptop won't take 85-95w when it's available using 2 perfectly good adapters and a good charging cord. I just know it's not the cord's issue, it's that my laptop is finicky. If I'm 36% SOC or higher, I can use this Lisen 240w cord and either the elite 30 or Anker 100w adapter and get 85+w charging up until 90-95% when it starts to drop. The elite 30 shows DC output and I have a watt meter that reads the anker, so I know the numbers are legit.

If this cord doesn't work for your setup in all scenarios, return it....but realize it's likely some other factor and not the cord itself. I looked up the Switch 2 cable and it looks like it doesn't have a e-marker chip. Maybe your setup needs a basic usb-c cable that doesn't have a chip.

These are much more flimsy compared to Anker just FYI
