This is a control focused pickleball paddle that plays well for casual and newer players, with a solid core, decent spin, and a handle that feels better built than starter pack options. The edgeless design and grit have held up over repeated use, and it can handle intermediate shots. The main knocks are limited power and a small sweet spot, with some off center hits feeling hollow. It looks like a strong step up from cheap starter sets, especially if you do not need top tier power.

Is this better than anything in the $30-ish or entry-level price range? Completely new, would like a good bang for your buck paddle.
We have a couple of an earlier model of this that we bought about a year ago. We play several times a month (used 20-25 times) and these have held up well. My biggest gripe is the small sweet spot. The grit has held up well for us. I prefer the edgeless design and not having a hole in the paddle that was en vogue for a while. We are intermediate players, although I tend to hit things on the edges of a paddle more than my son. These are much better than $30 paddles IMO, like others have said probably getting into the $100 range to do better.

If you planning to play pickleball for a long term and want the best paddle for the money, I highly recommend getting Bread & Butter Loco paddle. The Loco 2 is coming out later this year. So the original Loco is on sale (25% off). Can stack with ambassador'referral code for additional 10% off. DM if you need an ambassador discount code.

So your saying there's a chance! In theory this one is at least $100 is the list msrp is to be trusted but I don't know jack about these things to know if this is really a $50 paddle on sale for $30 but promoted as a deal down from $120
No, this is not a durable grit paddle. The listing for durable grit paddles will state the paddle has durable grit. The manufacturers call the durable grit different names such as hexagrit, blue endurance grit, permagrit, diamond tough grit, harmony grit and infinigrit.

Not a great paddle, especially considering that the regular price is 120 bucks. It doesn't have a ton of power, no exceptional control, spin is in the higher medium range but nothing to rave about, but the worst part is that it has a super small sweet spot. A little off center and you'll just hear a hollow clunk sound and no rebound. I bought it when it was 41 bucks last time and I can't say I'm impressed or happy with it. Played with a Selkirk Era Power and that paddle is superior in EVERY aspect. You'll land shots that you'll miss with this one.

Plenty good bang for your buck. Gen 2 paddle for $30 is pretty good.

That is really not the point. It's a paddle that's advertised at $120. This deal is not going to last and next week the paddle will be back at it's regular price and my statements will be just as true then. My point is that I've played with other paddles that are over $100 regular price and this one is really not a great paddle for what it's supposed to be (in terms of quality, Gen 3 category and other play-relevant factors). So no, I wouldn't buy this for $30 or $40. A 2 year old $50 Friday paddle is also superior to this one in almost all regards.

I bought this and played with it a bit today. It's definitely a control paddle and plays similar to my Gamma Obsidian 16mm (Around the same MSRP price point), just a bit softer on the power. I didn't notice a sweet-spot issue like the rest of the posts here.

It doesn't have as much power as my other paddles but otherwise feels good. It's definitely worth the price if you either don't own a paddle or only own a cheap entry.
