Avoid anything Nike, especially under $100. The only good Nike's I have found are the Air Pegasus and they are narrow still.

Go with Brooks, New Balance, On Cloud, Asics. In fact, go to a footwear specialty store, like a Runners World, they know what they are doing for good shoes. They usually will find how you walk and how you wear out your sneakers and give you want works best for you.

In your situation, avoid "deals" on sneakers, get what works for you and gives you long lasting comfort. Saving $50 isn't all that great if what you buy is going to give you issues.

Can confirm brooks glycerin are like marshmallows. Love it. Adrenaline feels a little less squishy. Have had both

These are comfy for running errands. However, if you need real running shoes and have lower back issues, you'll need better shoes...
