You can call the number and tell them you want to cancel; let them know about the the $3 deal and if they say no, tell them you want to cancel anway - they'll put you on hold and should you be able to hook you up or keep you at your current rate.
I finally spoke with a human on the phone. She asked if I got the invite through the mail or email from Sirius. Upon mentioning I found the deal online and wanted to lock in the $3 a month deal, she said I was not qualified and offered me a $6 a month for 12 months plan. I declined.
Today, September 3, 2026, I called SiriusXM about this offer and was informed that it is only valid for 2018 and older vehicles. Despite my willingness to cancel my existing subscription, the retention specialist repeatedly refused to honor the promotion.
In June 2026. I subscribed to the Music & Entertainment package for $5.00 a month for one year because I was unable to secure another three‑year offer. After submitting a negative survey response, I received a call from SiriusXM requesting clarification. I explained that my rating reflected the company's unwillingness to provide a three‑year deal. In exchange for removing the negative review, I was offered the same plan for $2.99 per month for one year, which I gladly accepted.
The inconsistency between these two interactions raises serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of SiriusXM's promotional and retention practices. Customers should not have to resort to negative feedback or cancellation threats to receive reasonable offers, nor should promotions be selectively applied without clear and consistent criteria, especially given my long‑standing subscription history.
I also got the offer is not valid with a higher offer. I am chatting with an online representative. They said that....
I understand that, The $2.99 a month for 36 months deal is only available for older radios 2018 and below. Upon checking here the promotion is not available for 2025 XXXX here on our end.
The only offer they are offering me is $3.99 for one year. I can not get them to budge and offer me that $ 2.99-per-year offer.
Editor has stated that it includes Howard Stern. Not sure that's true....in the past the Music and Entertainment plan did not include Howard Stern. Believe it also did not include ALL sports.
If I don't have a Sirius radio can I just use my phone (app?) or some other device? How bad are commercials on Sirius radio? I been an Apple Music sub a few years but tbh 11-12$ a month for music is getting kind of ridiculous imo I do appreciate no commercials. I was considering buying YouTube premium instead I think I seen 160$ yearly witch makes more sense to me bc you get you tube ad free also but 36$ a year sounds much better.
Idk why people are claiming there's no commercials. Every single channel has commercials. They often come in the form of a host selling other services, so it's not as explicitly a commerical as a 15s break for Verizon Mobile or something.
There are also constant advertisements for other channels that play. Or advertisments for other shows at different times on the same channel as what you're listening to.
If you want conpletely unbroken music from top to bottom, seek it elsewhere.
Even when I get a free subscription with a new car, I don't really use it. I don't really see the point of SiriusXM/satellite radio anymore with smart phones and all that's available.

Believe it or not, there are places with spotty to non existent cellular service. XM is satellite based.

Yeah exactly. That's the benefit for us on road trips. Plus I get the same station in NH as I get in Idaho and that's nice.
It's also nice to have genre stations that play consistently okay music that I'm not in control of exactly. There is something nice about having music that is exactly algorithmically catered to me.
If you're a current or past customer, just create a new account with a new email address for the promo, no big deal. You can add +sirius to your email prefix if you don't have another address ([email protected] aka [email protected]) or a disposable email service like mailinator.
If your car supports Sirius natively, you should be able to add it later. If it was registered to your previous account, you may need to contact support. I don't know how much they know about your vehicle, but I'd be surprised if you couldn't talk your way into them transferring it to the new account. "I just bought it off my father/sister/etc but haven't processed the paperwork yet".
Or just use your phone for Bluetooth or Android Auto/Car Play. The app works fine via AA, but haven't used it with CP to confirm
I've had Sirius for $25/year for probably more than a decade through about 2-3yrs ago. You simply just call and tell them you want to cancel and remain persistent with your cancellation request until 10 offers later they offer you $25/year. So it's not like this is a one-time opportunity deal 😂
I do the same thing. I have never paid more that $2 a month for years
If you don't have an active account right now try this one for 3 months for $1. Just cancel before 3 months ends, wait for a few days, do it again. Might need a different email address, but on 2nd round of this myself, others claim multiple multiple times of success. https://care.siriusxm.com/stella/...dAllAccess
One of the main reasons why they do these cheap deals is just to get your credit card information. Because a huge percentage of people forget about it and Sirius will get 26 bucks a month from millions of people. Until they realize and cancel
Sirius is one of the dumbest companies too. I've gotten three or four months free so many times just by not paying the bill but it takes them so long to cancel. The radio in my car will work forever... And then finally after 4 months they cut it off
