Fiber will come for you if you like it or not. Two fiber companies 2 years apart. The same yard destroyed twice. Screw them and whatever digging machine they rode in on. South Carolina by the way...

Are there any Fiber providers that don't use CGNAT? I'm pretty sure it can cause issues for some Internet providers using mesh systems like TP-Link Deco's. I want to like this, but there's so many different options and issues with some providers. Having to pick from TMobile, Race, AT&T and Frontier is hard with most companies treating thier customers like garbage. Can anyone comment on them?

ATT, T-Mobile, and WOW all installed fiber lines within the past two months in my neighborhood. Pricing is relatively the same amongst all three, but Xfinity has been getting aggressive with pricing in my area now that they have competition, and I just locked in 1 gig speed at $50/month for 5 years. Fiber or coax, I really don't care. My speed is fine with Xfinity

If my price is locked in at $50 for gigabit speed for 5 years, why wouldn't I do that? Another benefit of being an Xfinity customer is being able to connect to Xfinity hotspots where available, the convenience factor and the price guarantee made it a no brainer for me. Their cable TV service on the other hand... I switched to YouTube TV and never looked back.

I've had their 5G internet since December and use it for telework and gaming. For the most part, it's been great, but there have been issues from time to time that have been frustrating. I'm keeping it for now, but any more big issues will have me looking at returning to Fios. My wife has never complained about it though - most of the issues have been with gaming.
