Absolutely not. It's not even intended for that. I'm disappointed in its poor performance doing the duty it's marketed/intended for.

I got it too. I bought for car tires and became quickly disappointed. I have about 5 other Ryobi 18v inflators that work very well, but my intention was for gf to keep in car and not need the 18v ecosystem.

What are the Velcro straps for? Maybe to strap to bike frame?

That's exactly what the straps are for. They really market this for bike tires and basket balls. You can use it to top off car tires but it's not meant for it.
