If you purchase these tickets directly from the desk at the airport, they should be cheaper. Carrier interface charges for Frontier add up. Interface being the computer. When you buy direct you don't pay that fee.

$3.50 carrier interface fee each way for those $38 flights. Just saying. It can increase as much as $26 each way for other Frontier flights.

I thought the airlines started selling tickets online to dissuade people from just "showing up" and buying rando plane tickets? Security and all that? I swear that was a thing for a bit but now this is back? =/ Literally want to show up and buy a cheap rando plane ticket, but I am pretty sure that's frowned upon........

You do it at the front desk where you drop your bags, not at the gate past security. I would hand write all the information and hand it to the agent. Makes it a lot easier and quicker for them the pull it all together. I do it often, though it only works on the budget airlines that charge a high carrier interface fee.

Parking at the airport plus tolls to get there could be close to the round trip total in additional fees. If you live within a metro ride to the airport it might be worth it.

Most people who book this flight won't be driving, so parking fees won't be an issue. The only thing most people will pay for is a carry on bag both ways. So that would be about $150, maybe a little more with tax.
